In this Webinar:

“Am I ready for this?” Every trainer has asked themselves that question at some point in their career when an aggression case somehow a case falls into their lap. It can be risky, scary, and stressful to manage an aggression case, especially if you have limited experience. But at the same time, you have a curiosity and desire to take the next step in your training career.
so, how do you proceed?

If this sounds like you, this intro-level webinar will give you a multidisciplinary approach at treating aggressive behavior in dogs. In this webinar, you will learn:
  • How to develop a behavior training plan from intake to management to treatment options.
  • How to simplify treatment for your clients.
  • The value of safety management.
  • How desensitization and counterconditioning, BAT, CAT, play therapy, and resilience building can be implemented to modify behavior.

My goal is to teach you how to develop plans that help the dog and client feel safe and supported. I’ll share consistent themes and an ethological perspective about treating aggressive behavior from over 20 years of experience working with animals in zoos, the wild, animal shelters, and client’s homes. For decades, trainers have insisted on teaching clients to follow recipes or that some sort of mysterious “energy” is needed. If this is what training is, then we fall for the erroneous belief that dogs can be programmed like computers or that some invisible magic is necessary. But the reality is far more fascinating and revealing about the true nature of our relationship with animals and each other.
